About Pixi Robertson
Pixi Robertson Pixi was a professional circus performer in England, Germany and Australia before moving to New Zealand. She lives on the Coromandel Peninsular and spends her days writing books for children and young adults.
She has twice won the Australian Circus Industry Award for writing.
Her work is especially suitable for young adults but is a great read for everyone and reflects the rich life of the circus and the myriad of people Pixi has met in her life.
Pixi says “Writing and reading allow me to live more lives than I could possibly fit into this life-time. For me … writing and reading are inextricably linked. I don’t “plot” a story, just go with the flow and the excitement of discovery as the characters and plot develop is a never-ending pleasure.
Pixi also writes under the names Jewell Rosewarne and Remi Raelych.
Pixi was the writer and producer of a short-listed video entered in the 2008 Newcastle Shoot-out 24 hour film competition. The video is entitled Acrobat Removalists.
